"Took me a minute, but in a good way"
I was kind of expecting to spend a while poking around and figuring out where everything was, since that’s usually how it goes for me with new stuff. I clicked through a few things, checked a couple menus, and before I really noticed it, I pretty much knew what I was doing. So yeah, it ended up being easy to get around and didn’t take long to learn at all.

"Conversions were kind of hit or miss"
I tried it on a few old documents and some audio files, and... yeah, the results were mixed. A couple of them came out well, but others had formatting issues or weird timing that I had to fix manually. It’s not useless by any means, just not quite accurate enough for what I needed.

"Honestly, it’s been really dependable"
I’ve been using this software for a few months now, and I’m relieved by how stable it’s been. I usually leave it running in the background while I’m doing a bunch of other things, and it just keeps going without giving me stress. I think I’ve only had it freeze once, and even then it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, I’m genuinely happy with it and feel like I can trust it not to randomly crash on me.

"Still Struggling With Mac-to-Windows Sync"
I use both a Mac and a Windows PC, and the sync broke on me again. It’s frustrating because this is the kind of thing competitors seem to handle more smoothly. I really want to like it, but if I can’t trust my files to stay in sync across devices, it’s hard to stick with it.

"Billing could’ve been clearer"
The service was okay, but the billing caught me off guard 😕 I ended up being charged more than I expected, and I wish the costs had been explained more clearly upfront.

"I just remember not feeling great about it"
I tried NCH Software a while back, and what mostly sticks in my mind is that it didn’t feel very trustworthy to me. The website and checkout process seemed a little unclear, and I remember not being totally sure what I was agreeing to or buying. Maybe other people have had a smoother experience with it, but based on what I remember, I wouldn’t feel comfortable using it again

"I’ve been using a couple of NCH programs..."
I’ve been using a couple of NCH programs mainly to convert audio and video files, and for the most part they’ve been solid. They handle nearly every format I’ve thrown at them, which is really what I needed. The menus do feel a little outdated, and I had one file that took a couple tries to get right, so if that kind of thing starts happening more often I’d probably look for something else. But for now, it gets the job done well enough. 4 stars from me.

"The docs just made everything harder"
I spent pretty much my whole afternoon trying to follow the docs and still couldn’t find clear steps. whoever runs this needs to clean it up because it made the whole process way more confusing than it should’ve been.

"Glad it saves, but still a bit disappointed"
It does save my projects every time, which I really appreciate, and I haven’t lost anything so far. I just wish the overall experience felt a little smoother, so I’m kind of disappointed even though the basics work fine.

"Upgrade Was Shockingly Painless"
I had to do the upgrade and I was bracing for total chaos, but it ended up being completely fine. The new code worked on the first try, which felt like an actual miracle. No drama, no weird errors, no emotional spiral required

"Seemed okay, but pay attention during install"
I downloaded it and my antivirus didn’t flag anything, so I guess it’s probably fine on that side. The installer was a little busy though, and I had to slow down and check the options instead of just clicking through. Maybe they’re trying to sneak in extra stuff, or maybe it’s just a messy setup, I don’t really know. It wasn’t terrible, but I’d still be careful and read each step.

I tried nchsoftware.com for some basic audio editing, and it was just okay. The editor itself wasn’t hard to figure out, but after saving my file, the audio sounded worse than what I started with, which was frustrating.

I also had to deal with being transferred around when I tried to get help, which didn’t make the experience any better. The noise removal made my voice sound kind of robotic, and some cuts left little popping sounds, so I’d only use it for quick, low-stakes edits, not anything I actually want to sound clean

"Fairly Easy to Pick Up"
It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but to be fair, it wasn’t too hard to learn. Once I spent some time with it, everything started making sense and now it works fine for me

"Hard to get rid of"
Uninstalling this was a pain. Removed the program. Or at least I thought I did. Still had random pop-ups and leftover stuff hanging around. Had to dig through settings to clean it all up. Frustrating.

"Exports were surprisingly good, even if a little slow"
I’ve got mixed feelings, but mostly in a good way. The exports came out clean, the audio sounded fine, and I was happy with the final files. At the same time, it did take longer than I expected here and there, which was annoying, but not really a dealbreaker. So yeah, it’s not perfect, but it works well enough for what I need.

"Works okay, but I’m still a little wary"
I’ve used a couple of NCH tools and, for the most part, they do what I need. But every now and then one freezes or starts acting strange after an update, which gets frustrating. I’ll be honest, I’m always a little nervous with software like this because I don’t want to feel like I got fooled into using something unreliable. It’s not awful, but for everyday use it feels kind of hit or miss.

"Just a solid value for the price"
The pricing feels fair, and the software just does what I need it to do. A few of the extra features are a little confusing at first, but overall it’s been a good value for what I needed

I’m still waiting on my refund and haven’t been able to get a straight answer from anyone. It kind of feels like they’re hoping I’ll just stop asking, which is really frustrating. The whole process has been way more confusing than it should be.

There’s a lot included here, which I really appreciate. My only thing is that it can take a little while to figure out where everything is, but once you get used to it, it feels useful overall.
